9.2 Identifying options

- Identity possible options: First step before elaborating the business case is identifying and explore business and technical options we want to achieve.

- Get a short list of options: This is realisable via workshops and brainstorming sessions or by studying what other organisations have done to address same issues and goals. At this stage, it is important to start picking the most realisable options and the "do nothing" one.

- Evaluate the short list of options: Examining globally the short list is starting then in terms of budget, time, effort, benefits...for a basic option, basic option with some additions or all the option itself.

-Take forward options to the business case: One option (the best and most suitable one) and the do nothing one are then vetted to be taken for the business case.
